Lettings Administrator/Negotiator Role 

SJM Properties is a rapidly expanding letting agent based in Taunton and surrounding areas and we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to join the team. Experience in Property Management is preferred but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Carrying out property viewings, inspections and inventories.
  • Keeping client portfolio’s up to date on all safety, electric, gas and maintenance checks.
  • Liaising with current tenants and landlords about the ongoing management of their property.
  • Liaising with our team of contractors to arrange works orders.
  • Following up enquiries from potential landlords and tenants.
  • Negotiating lets.
  • Building client relationships and generating new business opportunities.

Background and skills 

  • Admin experience and computer proficiency.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to develop good rapport with clients.
  • Self-motivated and proactive to increase business profits.
  • A passion to develop your own skills within the property sector and assist with the growth of the business.
  • Ability to work hard and in return reap the rewards of commission-based letting’s.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate via phone, email, video link, social media and face to face.
  • Must be computer literate and show creativity with social media advertising.
  • Must have good organisation skills and be able to manage several ongoing tasks whilst working within deadlines.
  • Have a clean driving licence, plus use of own vehicle.

What’s on offer to you 

  • Basic Salary of £21,000 to £23,000 (plus uncapped commission scheme).
  • 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Working hours Mon-Fri 8.30-5.00 with scope to work 1 day a week at home.
