The spring season is upon us which means it is a beautiful time for some scenic spring walks! If you are currently living in Taunton or thinking about moving nearby, here are some lovely free local walks…

Cothelstone Hill - This is a beautiful walk over the Quantocks with both heathland and woodland to enjoy.

Castle Neroche - Located in the Blackdown Hills, this is a circular walk that visits the site of an old Norman motte-and-bailey Castle.

Trull Waterfall - A picturesque waterfall tucked away in the village of Trull, this is a lovely walk for both adults and children and not far from the park if you have little ones

Wellington Monument - Located at the top of Wellington Hill this monument stands as a tribute to the Duke of Wellington and his victory at the Battle of Waterloo.

Taunton & Bridgwater Canal - A simple wander around the canal makes a long (14.5 mile), tranquil and picturesque walk for all sorts of people with possible stops at Maunsel Lock Tea Room, Somerset Boat Centre or even The New Mill Pub and Restaurant
