A bit about us...

Established in May 2020, SJM Properties is an independent, Taunton based Letting Agent situated in the town centre at 2 The Crescent. The business was created by owner, Steven James Moore, who, having worked in the property sector for over 13 years, has ample knowledge of the lettings process as well as a great understanding of the local market. Our office is made up of a small team consisting of Steve, Kaye and Jess whom all work in every area of property management - be assured that whoever you speak to, the job will get done!

In relation to our offerings, we have a Fully Managed Service which includes collection of rent, arranging maintenance, keeping on top of certificates, and doing regular inspections. We also have a Tenant Find Only service which consists of the main process of getting a tenant into a property such as advertising, viewing, and referencing. Traditionally, our focus has been single residential dwellings, but we have recently branched out into managing HMO properties following recent trends associated with the current cost of living crisis. This is a new endeavour for us, but it has been great to add another string to our bow and meet the needs of a growing number of landlords in this market. We have also expanded our area range with our portfolio not only covering Taunton but also Bridgwater, Weston, Yeovil and Minehead.

Despite the hurdles of COVID as well as the recent hike in interest rates encouraging more and more landlords to sell, we have grown year-on-year as a company and were very pleased to celebrate our achievements on our 3-year anniversary this summer!
