INTERNET SAFETY WARNING

Sadly, due a recent scam attempt we are writing this to warn you to stay safe online!

A few days ago, a man falsely posed as a landlord for one of our advertised properties in order to extort deposit money off potential applicants. He had claimed the property was now being let directly through him and suggested that in order for the applicant to show genuine interest they would need to pay their deposit upfront. Fortunately, the applicant realised before any money was exchanged and the culprit has now deleted their account.

Please ensure you are taking the necessary precautions to stay safe online and when looking at property with us please be aware that: -
o    We will always meet you in person and show you around the property before requesting a deposit
o    We will never ask for any payments to be made in cash
o    We will never contact you via a personal account, ALL correspondence will be from our business email addresses or via the SJM Properties Facebook page

If you are ever suspicious of a scam attempt, we are only a phone call away! Please do not hesitate to ring us on 01823 740056 before you proceed with anything you are unsure of.
