Thirty miles from Taunton, Yeovil has a population of almost 50,000 people and is the host to various attractions and facilities including two theatres, the 14th century AD Church of St. John the Baptist and the Bill Whistlecroft Athletics Arena. Yeovil also neighbours the historic late Elizabethan mansion, Montacute house.

Yeovil is also well connected, positioned on the A30 and A37 and boasting two train stations one of which, Yeovil junction, has a direct line to London. The major employers for the area are the local Yeovil Hospital and Leonardo Helicopters.
